The official opening of the Mpumalanga Provincial House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders hosted by Mpumalanga Coghsta ,marks a significant step in aligning heritage with modern governance.
Commissioner HRH Princess Eurika Mogane from the Commission for Gender Equality, welcomes the “Sovereign Standard” reflected in the Honorable Premier’s Mandla Ndlovu MP’s commitments, particularly regarding the advancement of gender equality and rural development.

☀️ A Unified Front Against GBVF: Acknowledging that the police cannot work in isolation, the province is integrating traditional leadership into ward-based safety planning and joint community safety forums to combat Gender-Based Violence.
☀️ Dignity Through Infrastructure:The completion and renovation of over 55 Traditional Council Offices, equipped with digital connectivity, ensures that leadership and community consultations happen in functional, respected spaces.
☀️ Accountability to the People: The emphasis on Ummemo cultural gatherings as vital platforms for annual reporting and transparency ensures that Traditional Councils remain accountable to the communities they serve.
☀️ Agrarian Transformation: High appreciation is noted for the “Masibuyele Esibayeni Programme,” which aims to provide essential opportunities for livestock production and the commercialization of communal farming.
Sustainable development in Mpumalanga is anchored in the belief that leadership is not about privilege, but about service.
